Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. That means if you click on them and make a purchase, I make a small commission. Prices are exactly the same for you whether you use an affiliate link or not. Commissions help me pay for my extensive time and the costs in operating this blog. It ain’t free! Blogging has become an important part of my work and income. So I greatly appreciate when you use my affiliate links as it encourages me to keep on keeping on with blogging (which I really love!).
There are two main types of affiliate links:
1. Product Affiliate Links
That includes things like e-books, e-courses and meal plan services.
But here’s the deal. I only affiliate with people and companies I know are firmly rooted in promoting real/traditional foods. So when I recommend a product or service it is either because of its value, helpfulness or quality in helping you incorporate real/traditional foods into your life.
2. Amazon Affiliate Links.
Amazon.com offers a small commission between 4% - 8% on products sold through their affiliate links. These links look like “http://amzn.to…” You will often see myself and other bloggers using these links.
Amazon links are not “pay-per-click” links and commissions are only made on things you actually purchase. Again, prices are the same for you whether you use an affiliate link or not.
There are generally two ways in which I use Amazon affiliate links. The first is here on my blog where I will only link to products that I can personally attest to and that I have had experience using. That includes many of the giveaways I run. These giveaways are paid for by myself. The second is on Facebook where I often use Amazon affiliate links to share e-books that are related to traditional foods in some way. Though I purchase many myself, I don’t read them all. Because these are either free or just a few dollars, it is up to each reader to look through the reviews and determine if the book will be helpful.
