Can you believe it’s June already? My favorite month of the year by far. The rainy spring days are in the past (for the most part), warmth and sunshine abounds and it just feels like the summer will last forever.
May was well, May here in western MA - some beautiful days but lots of rain and clouds as well. Except for one day, it didn’t bother me too much as I was able to finish the first draft of my e-book about heartburn. The tentative title is “The 30 Day Heartburn Solution.” I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will be ready by July! Keep Reading…

This past weekend, millions around the world marched to protest Monsanto, the giant chemical company that is the worldwide leader in producing genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and the herbicide (Roundup) that GMOs require.
I was proud to attend a local march here in western MA. On an unusually cold (46 degrees!) and very rainy late-May day over 200 people packed a small church in Chicopee, MA to demonstrate.
We watched a documentary about GMOs before taking to the street with our signs and protest chants.

Did you know butter was quietly removed from New York City schools in 2008?
I had no idea.
Until last week when my high school buddy who lives in NYC posted this photo on my Facebook timeline:
At first glance I thought this was just another cheesy attempt by the New York Post to sell newspapers. When I realized it wasn’t from the Post I went online and found the corresponding article.

Digestive problems? Millions of Americans are suffering with poor digestive health these days brought on by not only poor dietary choices but poor dietary advice as well. The mainstream nutrition advice to eat low-fat, eat more whole grains and eat more fruits and vegetables can actually exacerbate many digestive problems.
