How do your consultations work?

Before we meet I’ll email or snail mail you several questionnaires regarding your past and current health symptoms, your lifestyle and diet. You’ll also fill out a short food journal. This information will give me an initial picture of your current health status. When we meet we’ll take some time to go over this information and answer each others questions.

Next I’ll perform a variety of functional tests. These noninvasive tests target your body’s digestive functioning, sugar handling ability, tissue mineral status, fatty acid status and hydration levels. Further tests can target endocrine, immune and cardiovascular function. These tests will give a more detailed picture of your current health status. They are designed to detect underlying dysfunction in the body and are an invaluable and vital link in assessing your current state of health. No other nutritionist or dietician uses this individualized, functional evaluation.

I’ll then perform lingual-neuro testing which is designed to determine what supplements will work best for you. I use supplements only from companies with the highest quality control standards and with scientifically proven results.

Finally I’ll take all this information and create a clear and concise protocol with dietary, lifestyle and supplement recommendations. This initial consultation takes about two hours. Follow up consultations will help to monitor your progress and make any adjustments necessary in the protocol. They take place anywhere from 4-8 weeks after the initial consultation and last about an hour.

I understand that any change of diet and lifestyle is a big and often times difficult step. I offer support and guidance to my clients throughout. I believe the client consultation process is akin to a journey we both take together. I strive to be present for each client, to listen openly, to communicate clearly and most importantly to care for your wellbeing.

In addition to regular office consultations I also offer phone and in home consultations as well.

Instructions for your consultation

Please try to refrain from eating at least 2 to 3 hours before your consultation. Drinking plenty of water is fine and always encouraged.

Please bring all supplements and medications you are currently taking.
